Facility
Jaro Corp’s 29,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility was opened in August 2007 in rural Ipswich, Massachusetts. Considerable time and effort were spent designing a building to be used specifically for the application of functional coatings. Our 20+ years of experience were instrumental in determining the features that would help us improve workflow, provide handling / processing precautions important to our customers, reduce our impact on the environment and allow us to advance along with the latest technology.
Security
- ITAR registered
- All visitors sign in/out, ID’s checked, badges issued, and cameras are not allowed beyond our reception area.
- Security cameras located inside and out
- Additional locked space available within our facility for sensitive customer material
Environment
- Entire building is climate controlled
- Humidity monitored in each spray booth as well as in our main production area
- Air filters on building make-up air units changed 4x/year
- Regularly scheduled preventive maintenance performed on building mechanicals
ESD
- Entire facility is ESD protected
- Building constructed with redundant paths to earth ground – located throughout the facility
- ESD system is based on ANSI/ESD S20.20 – 1999
- Conductive floors throughout
- ESD Awareness training for all employees
- ESD wrist straps, ESD heel straps, and ESD lab coats
- 2x/Day testing of wrist straps and heel straps
- All work surfaces, handling trays and carts are constructed of dissipative material and tested monthly.
Equipment
- Hand Spraying:
- 6 separate production spray booths dedicated by coating type
- 1 touch-up booth
- 1 booth dedicated to R&D project work
- A variety of state-of-the-art HVLP spray guns are utilized
- Automated Coating:
- Asymtek C740 computer controlled selective coating machine. This unit is complete with a board inverter and an infrared oven.
- Curing
- Conventional ovens: 9 forced convection ovens.
- Infrared: Nordson Select Cure Infrared oven.
- UV: Dymax UVC-12 uv cure oven.
